Maya Kushner

Paralegal

Prior to joining Ritz Clark & Ben-Asher, Maya interned with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association, where she assisted with client intake and the preparation of legal documents to support tenants navigating eviction proceedings. Maya also held an internship with the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee, and supported legal advocacy for individuals with mental health challenges by conducting legal research and documenting gaps in compliance with laws protecting the rights of psychiatric patients. As a district office intern for U.S. Congressman Jake Auchincloss, she assisted with constituent casework and researched local policy issues.

Maya graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Politics and minors in Legal Studies and Hispanic Studies. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and received the Departmental Prize for Excellence in Political Science. At Brandeis, Maya served as a peer counselor at the Student Sexuality Information Service and held leadership positions within Brandeis’s student performing arts community.
