Your Boss is Making You Miserable and You Want to Sue. Your boss may bethe most irrational and difficult person in the world, but under the employment-at-will doctrine, that may not be enough to give you a legal claim.  You need to consult an employment attorney to learn whether your facts meet one of the exceptions to that doctrine, for example sexual or racial harassment, retaliation and whistleblowing.  There are many other laws that may protect you, but you won’t know until you get capable legal advice.
